Etruscan Revival Almandine Garnet Hoop Earrings trench art Medusa - the Gorgon SisterDATE: Victorian, c. 1870 A beautiful pair of Etruscan Revival hoop earrings dating from the 1870s. They're set with vibrant almandine garnets, and adorned with particularly lovely applied ropework detailing making out floral and foliate motifs. The hoops are articulated, and move freely beneath the ear, and they have a snake link chain fringe underneath. Modelled in 15 karat gold and remaining in near perfect condition, with a gorgeous antique patina.
