The finished boots are washed in specialist machines to create a vintage worn and lovingly restored aesthetic. A Norwegian welt is a favoured construction for hikers, as it provides extra stability and protection, with the leather welt covering the join between the upper and the sole; we've opted for the St Moritz rubber outsole, which has
